I decided to try them for myself before totally dismissing them.. Let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised with these bears. Check out my results below!

So I can definitely see why people would be doubtful of these blue bears, they look & taste like candy! They literally taste just like your normal gummie bear, but these guys have super powers! Naturally flavoured with berries & citrus fruits & full of effective ingredients such as:

Vitamin A, C, D, E, B-6, B-12

Folic Acid (Vitamin B-9)

Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B-5)

Biotin

Coconut Oil

Just because it doesn't look like an average, boring supplement with no flavour or colour & housed in a capsule that you buy from your local health shop or pharmacy, people instantly don't trust it works.. I was willing to give these bears the benefit of the doubt, there's nothing wrong with making vitamins fun!

As a hairdresser by trade, I know what hair needs to be strong & healthy & this is one banger of a concoction! Vitamin B-6 is great to prevent hairloss, Panthothenic Acid helps to stimulate hair growth by supporting your hairs natural keratin (Keratin is the protein that makes our hair) & Biotin which is one of the most important vitamins you can take to promote hair growth & these babies have 5000mcg in each daily dose! That's about 6-7 times the amount we need so BOOM long hair! These ingredients don't only result in great hair, but also healthier skin & nails. What could be better?

So on May 30th I started my daily regime of the 2 bears a day, everyday for 30 days.

I made sure to take a before photo the day I started & an after photo. I straightened my hair on both days so I could see the real growth difference & when I put the two photos next to each other, Wow! I'm very happy with the result & growth of my hair. Hair typically grows about 3-4cms a month, I for one am very use to seeing 4-6weeks hair growth, that is the recommended time between hair regrowth colouring, my hair grew about an inch & half! Nearly twice the amount in a month! 

♥RESULTS♥

So here are my results after taking 2 bears a day for 30 days! 

Despite the obvious growth, what I actually noticed was stronger/faster growing nails, naturally glowy skin & stronger, shinier hair at the roots with less hair fall.

I've always had a problem with my hair falling because of all the heat styling & rough treatment over the years, but this is the strongest my hair has been since before I started colouring & messing with it. I'm super impressed & can only recommend you try them for yourself!

There are only 2 downsides to these vitamins & that is if you have coloured hair, you'll need to do the regrowth more often because it grows so fast, & the price.. I'm not stoked about the price, once I paid for shipping, these ended up a hefty $60 NZD, I think that's a lot of money for 60 gummie bear vitamins..But they do work! I guess it just depends on how badly you want to grow your hair, & how much you're willing to spend on doing it

I for one, am going to order more because I love what they did for my hair, skin & nails! I'll be sure to update you guys again when I've finished another month :)

Milani 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer Review!

I'm back with another Foundation review for you guys, this time it's an affordable one from the drugstore! Milani Cosmetics have recently come out with this new product, a 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer - CONCEAL + PERFECT promising to "Combat under eye circles, redness & other skin imperfections" with a Medium-Full coverage, lightweight longwear formula that is sweat-proof & water-resistant! So I put this foundation to the test for the first time using a Beauty Blender on one side & Flat Top Kabuki Brush on the other, like I usually do to see any differences in application.

"A no mess, no drip pump dispenses just the right amount needed to achieve a flawless look"
I love when a foundation bottle has a pump, it's much easier for applying! As you can see, this foundation is very thick & gloopy.. so I wouldn't agree with "lightweight" but this amount was perfect for covering my whole face with a natural finish & medium coverage. Add a little more to areas that need more coverage, this foundation is high in pigment so I doesn't take much to build up but because it's thick & oil-free, it starts to set on the face & can cake up, so apply and blend quickly! They have 14 shades available and I chose Creamy Vanilla 01 because that is (currently) the lightest shade and omg what a joke! It is seriously atleast 1-2 shades darker than my skin! I wear NC15-20 in MAC so I'm pretty fair, I also know a few people with even lighter skin so what would they use?! It also has a lot of warm yellowy pigments which tend to oxidise deeper also so that is a huge disappointment! I recommend mixing it with a lighter foundation, even a cream/moisturiser! It would also work to thin out the thick consistency.

Oil-Free and Sweet & Water Resistant!

Flat Top Brush

Medium coverage, blemishes are concealed & it looks very natural! I noticed with the brush it went patchy, hard to move and took longer to blend.. 

Beauty Blender 

Medium coverage, even finish, imperfections are concealed & natural finish. I definitely prefer using a beauty blender with this foundation! It was so much easier to blend out too

How did it hold up throughout the day? I can't say this foundation is very long-wearing or sweat-proof in my experience so far.. It faded on my forehead, chin & bottom of my cheeks. I would probably only wear this on a night out for dinner or the movies where I'm not out for too long & mainly because the shade is too dark haha overall I really like the flawless yet natural finish I get when applied with a BB but hate the fact this is the lightest shade available! I would wear it all the time if they had a good match.. :/  I wouldn't recommend trying if you're any lighter than NC15, but for the price I'm not bothered because I can play around & see if gets better.

As you can see, in the two weeks of using this tea, not a lot has changed haha so I made sure to weigh & measure myself for accurate results & there is a small difference!

Pre Teatox Weight - 67.5kgs/148lbs.  Measurments - Bust: 89-90cm Waist: 71cm Hips: 90cm

Post Teatox Weight - 65kgs/143lbs.  Measurements - Bust: 87cm Waist: 68cm Hips: 85cm

Now let's be honest here, I did not get a lot of exercise done in those two weeks! Very little actually haha my own fault completely & have no doubt I would have seen much better results had I done more :/ and I didn't change my diet much because I eat fairly healthy anyway, a lot of Chicken & Vegetables, eggs, salads & smoothies, so I'm pretty good with food but I can slip on the weekends!

I can say it definitely worked for cleansing my system, every morning after the Night tea I had to rush to the bathroom 2-3 times, so be mindful of this before work or important day events haha I did notice a lot more energy & it definitely suppressed my naughty food cravings during the day.

In conclusion, I think I'll try the 28day detox & do it properly with a food plan & exercise, but other than that I'll be honest & say, I don't think you need this "Teatox".. I can also get a good digestive detox/cleanse with Vegetable/Fruit Juicing for 3-5 days, but I recommend you read more about Juice Detoxing before trying ;)

Why is Oil Cleansing so popular & SO much better for your skin..??

As we all know, our skin produces oils naturally to keep skin moisturised, among other reasons,

Most face washes & cleansers are formulated with harsh detergents & chemicals 

stripping the skin of its natural oils resulting in the body overproducing oil to replace lost moisture!

It's a never ending cycle!

Cleansing oil uses the good oils to remove the bad oils from your skin (sebum that hardens in your pores, along with dirt & toxins) & replaces it with nutrient-rich plant & seed oils that cleanse, 

detoxify & moisturise the pores & skin! For example - Castor Oil pulls out dirt & oil, so on its own can be very drying, balance by mixing with hydrating oils that penetrate the skin like Vitamin E!

How to use..?

Massage into the skin, oils in the cleanser grab on to surface impurities, pulling out dirt without 

clogging pores. Gently remove eye makeup by wiping oil covered hands down over your lashes to dissolve even the most stubborn waterproof makeup! Don't rub this area too hard! 

Simply rinse off with a warm faced cloth & be left with glowing, regenerated & hydrated skin!

After using this everyday, my skins texture & breakouts improved within a week.

It feels perfectly balanced, not too oily or dry.

And I've only gone through a 1/4 of the bottle so far, a little goes a long way!

I'm hoping they come up with a Plant based oil serum or moisturiser to finish my skin routine

with another natural, organic, NZ made product! Fingers crossed!

Fine Pressed Powder $25 

I ordered this in the shade "Wheat", it appeared to be the lightest shade available
This product had a plastic film protecting the powder & is in the usual, high-quality Rubberized compact from Becca, also comes with a zip-up Travel case with "Becca" engraved on the zip.
This product is definitely authentic!

I've tried a few different setting/pressed powders so I'm always keen to try new ones out!

Becca Cosmetics is well-known for their high-quality products designed to enhance natural beauty features, but this pressed powder was a let down..

First off the colour is quite yellowy for my skin & second, this powder is chalky!

Bearing in mind, this product is a few years behind now, but it makes me skin quite dry looking..

But you know what, for $25, I'll work with it! Try it out again in summer when my skin is tanned & slightly oilier, it might work a dream!

I picked up two of these single shadow compacts, both Shimmer finishes

"Chintz" A deep Olive Green with Gold shimmer

"Damask" A intense Gold with Bronze shimmer

Both in the cutest mini, rubberized compacts also with protective plastic films over shadows.

The quality of these are no different to any other Authentic Becca product!

Chintz

This beautiful Shimmery Golden Olive is one of my fave shadow shades right now, the only downfall, this product does not apply to the eyes like it swatches, it
gives sheer pigmentationTry this out with wet flat shadow brush

Damask

This is a deeper Gold shade with hints of Copper & Bronze micro-shimmer through it
This shade does apply better on the eyes than "Chintz" especially if you apply using your fingertips or a wet flat shadow brush!

As you can see they swatch beautifully & buttery

I may order a couple more to test out, for that price I can't say no to Becca!

How I Order my Makeup from USA!

Forwarding Addresses, Sephora, MAC etc!  

As some of you may know, I'm from New Zealand, 

a small country at the bottom of the map!

For the longest time, I had been dreaming of the products & prices 

American Beauty Lovers enjoy, including Reward points & Deluxe Samples!

Then I heard about - Forwarding Services

So basically a Forwarding Service is a Delivery service that provide you 

with an American address to use when ordering on any American site.

Your parcel is delivered to their Warehouse in USA, you pay for Shipping from there, 

& they send your order here, to your house, in NZ! 

Here are a few services I've tried myself, trust & continue to use =

This is one Forwarding Service I use all the time! It's based in NZ, stems from their NZ post website. I personally find this site the easiest, most affordable & trustworthy to use. 

When you sign up, you will receive addresses tp their warehouses in USA, UK & China + your own NZ post I.D number. This is a MUST to enter into the shipping information to ensure you receive your order. I personally DON'T enter the I.D number in the "First Name" section, as long as it's in the Address Line you're fine! When it arrives to their warehouse, the I.D no. will show up under your name, they will email you payment info for shipping & send it away to you!

I use YouShop when ordering from MAC USA, Too Faced Cosmetics & now Sephora!

They do have a consolidation option for multiple packages & discounted prices the more you have - up to 10 boxes! 

Check the product restrictions for YouShop before ordering, some products e,g Perfume is dangerous goods & won't get accepted/sent!

Note: 

Sephora does not accept Debit Cards & will cancel orders, only Credit Cards are accepted as they don't have a set currency!

I've used this service a few times to order from Sephora when I got perfume samples or wanted to order their Perfume Mini sets etc

Based in Australia, specifically for ordering from the US, this site has an initial service fee that is added to the Shipping Price in the end. When you sign up you need to "Place Order", let them know you want "To make an Order using their Address" (There are 3 options) & Enter the products you'll be ordering. This will ensure you get everything you ordered! Including Samples..

They are more expensive then other services, but for a few reasons, consolidation is free no matter how many orders, and perfume is accepted & sent to NZ.

I found with UStoOZ, the more orders you make the more reasonable the price is.

Once they receive your package, you are emailed with a few Shipping options including with or without insurance, 6-10 days or 2-4 weeks arrival time etc

This is the first Service I used, I heard about this site through Shaaanxo on YouTube.

This site is more confusing to use in my opinion but its trustworthy & does work!

You start by signing up with a $5 fee to prove you have a working card, get your Address & start shopping! Once your order arrives to their warehouse, top up your Shipito account for shipping!

You also have the "Special Request" Option that costs $5 if you have a restricted product or sample, request to have it removed. Or if you want that Perfume or Sample, for a higher price they have a shipping option for Fed Ex that accepts dangerous goods.

Another option on this site is the "Assisted Purchase" option where you top up your account with money, enter in the products your wishing to get, they will personally collect those for you & let you know when it arrives. This is the best option to choose if you're worried about your order getting cancelled 

Tips: 

I sometimes use a Forwarding Address for sites that do ship to NZ, but have a hefty shipping charge! E.g I made another Colourpop order last week! I didn't quite have enough money to pay for shipping, so I got it sent via YouShop (giving me free US shipping) & paid the YouShop shipping charge when it arrived to their warehouse this week! 

It actually worked out cheaper that way anyway - $22 NZD vs $20 USD (approx $30 NZD)

Huge COLOURPOP Haul!

 I had heard about this new Brand through one of my Fave Beauty Gurus - Shaaanxo
She actually collaborated with Colourpop to bring us four of her own colours!
Then Kathleen Lights - another fave - bought out her own quad of shadows & a Lipstick shade! 
Of course I had to go check them out...
I was shocked at how affordable everything was!

I had a few things in mind but it's hard to resist everything at that price point!

As you can see, I got a decent sized haul! 

There are a few unique things about this brand..

One thing is the interesting mousse-like texture of the shadows & face products, these are not powder or cream products, yet they feel creamy & moussey to the touch & apply like a powder on the skin. Another is the stick packaging of their lipsticks, different to the traditional, shorter bullet shape, 

these are longer, thinner stick-like lippies & they have the texture & pigmentation of a normal lipstick = Lippiestix!  

And also, the quality! The pigmentation of every single product blew me away! 

The packaging also feels good quality, it doesn't feel cheap & tacky.

Deluxe, this colour is a delicious, warm chocolate brown with bronze & golden shimmer through it! Blend in to the outer-v & smudge under the lash-line or over the whole lid for a dark bronze smokey eye.

Rebel, this matte, mid-tone Khaki looks good all over the lid for a smoked-out grungey look or lower lash line to add some edgy colour to any neutral eye!

Selfie, this is a great transition shade to blend in the crease or smoke out the lower lash-line for depth. Or you could use Selfie alone over your lid for a simple sunkissed eye look

XO, perfect for highlighting the inner corner, I also love this over the lid with "Selfie" blended in to the crease for some day-time glam!

Blaze, Another delicious colour, a bronze brown with multi-dimensional glitter through it, it comes off slightly green-bronze. It looks amazing on its own as 
deep sultry smokey eye!

Kathleenlights, this is a true bronze gold! So buttery & amazing over the lid, this with Cornelious blended in to the crease creates a beautiful, bright summer look!

Cornelious, perfect transition shade to pair with the two above, blend in the crease to soften up any harsh lines.

Glow, a true creamy vanilla, because this is a matte shade I like to use this all over the lid as a base for the other shadows, it's also nice as a brow bone highlight

Wisp - Pearlized Highlight, this is a Golden Champagne with a highly reflective gold duo-chrome finish! Mine actually arrived broken, I emailed Colourpop & without a question, they sent me a replacement, That's what I call customer service!

Trickery - Satin Blush, a soft pastel true peach. I find its more of peachy-pink then a "true Peach", at least on my skin, it's still a stunning blush!

Between The Sheets - Matte Blush, A mid-tone beige pink. I Love this shade, it's a great everyday dusty pink, very natural looking with no shimmer.

Aphrodisiac - Matte Blush, soft beige brown. Apparently could be used as a contour shade, I am yet to try it for this. Other wise it gives a nice bronzey colour to the cheeks for a sunkissed glow

Bon Voyage - Matte Bronzer in soft tan, perfect for fair/light skin tones to warm up the skin.

I like to apply these with my fingers or a duo-fibre stipple brush to control the amount of pigmentation applied.

These babies are so buttery & pigmented, it's easy to go over board 

The eyeshadows are also best applied with your fingers for the most colour pay-off, but you can diffuse the crease shades using a blending brush.

Another thing to make this brand even more amazing, they are Cruelty Free & Do Not Test on Animals! Also their products are gluten free & most are vegan too! (though they advise you not to eat them haha) 

And that concludes my huge Colourpop Haul! I love everything I ordered & hope to get more soon! I'm dying to try their new Ultra Matte Lipsticks! The only downfall is the International Shipping cost!
