A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of hanging out with the Benefit Cosmetics team to have a play with their new concealer in the range and check out the cute restyling of some old faves!

Some of you may remember Fake-up, Erase Paste or cult fave Boi-ing? These are the previous names of the newly repackaged concealers and now with a new formula, the Airbrush concealer, the entire range will fall under the name Boi-ing, in honour of their best seller. But don't be fooled by the cute pink packaging, these products do their job well! Brightening Concealer (Erase Paste)

4.4 grams
No.1 Light - No.2 Medium - No.3 Dark

Claims = Full Coverage, Ideal for dark circles, Brightening melon undertones, Creamy blendable formula and Radiant Finish

Opinion = I disagree with "full coverage", its more a medium coverage. It has a light peachy undertone to correct the purple/blue tones in dark circles, once it's blended out it looks natural and even. It has that radiant glowy finish to prevent cakey undereyes. I found using my fingertips was the best way to blend while still keeping the coverage. It does look a little dry once it's set but lasts all day without creasing. If I don't set it however, it will start to crease in my expression lines. I also use this as a eyelid primer to correct veins.

Industrial Strength (Boi-ing)

3.0 grams
No.1 Light - No.2 Medium - No.3 Dark

Claims = Full Coverage, Ideal for blemishes and heavy-duty dark circles, Creamy formula with a matte finish

Opinion = It is more a medium buildable coverage but be sure to only use a small amount, spot conceal. If you use too much it will need more blending which almost moves the product around and lifts it off the skin. Applying a small spot of this concealer on a blemish or 3-4 spots under the eyes and blending out with your fingertips or a beauty blender seems to give the best results. Also using any more product can cause it to crease and cake up. For blemishes, it's good to have a matte finish but still have a creamy consistency otherwise it could look dry and make pimples stand out.

Hydrating Concealer (Fake-up)

Claims = Sheer coverage, Hydrating, hides dark circles and visibly smooths lines, lightweight formula and natural finish




Opinion = This concealer has a layer of vitamin E and apple seed extract with a concealer center, perfect for hydrating the under eyes and keeping them fresh all day. I personally love this concealer and use to keep Fake-up in my bag for everyday touch ups. I use it under the eyes or over blemishes that are looking dry to hydrate skin and blend it out with my fingertips to boost the coverage. Because it is only sheer coverage, it doesn't fully cover blemishes or dark circles but would be perfect for someone who doesn't have dark under eyes but wants to look fresh all day!

Airbrush Concealer (NEW!)

5.0 grams
No.1 Light - No.2 Medium - No.3 Dark

Claims = Sheer - medium coverage, Waterproof, lasts 10 hours, airbrushed finish





Opinion = I'm loving this concealer so far, it's almost like a whipped texture with a lightweight, buildable coverage. This concealer does what it says and literally looks airbrushed on the skin blurring pores, fine lines and unevenness giving you a flawless finish. I personally like to apply this with a beauty blender, I just squish the sponge in the concealer pot and bounce on areas I want to look airbrushed, normally under my eyes and around my nose. You can build up the coverage using your fingertips. I didn't have a problem with it caking up or creasing either.

I'm very impressed with these concealers, especially the new Airbrush concealer! Of course I think they need to extend the colour options with a lighter and a deeper shade, because these being the lightest I can tell they will still be too dark for fairer people. The price of these is a little steep in my opinion, $38nzd is a lot of money for one concealer, but if you find one that works for you, it's totally worth it! The Airbrush concealer seems to be the best value for your money with 5.0g of product. It all depends on what you want to cover whether it's dark circles, uneven skin tone or blemishes, surely one of these will work wonders for you! And remember that these are not a liquid cream but solid cream concealers to ensure coverage, use small amounts because using too much will pretty much guarantee caking and creasing.

Bring On Bright - Illuminating Primer

I am loving this glow-injecting primer at the moment! It lightly illuminates your skin for a glowing base under your foundation. I love the scent, it smells familiar like really fresh and clean skin care. I love the glowy finish it gives to your base and it stays glowy all day under other makeup. I haven't had a problem with this primer causing my foundations to move around, fade or cake. I love it!

Shimmer Shot - Illuminating Wand

These are available in 3 different shades - Pearl, Soft Gold and Bronze. 

Here I have the shade "Pearl" and OH MY GOD how stunning is that highlight?! The packaging is a push/pump wand with a brush tip where the product is pushed out and you apply it straight from the brush tip on to your face. I love the look of this highlighter when swatched, but it dries quite quickly on the skin and leaves the foundation looking patchy where its applied on top, almost lifting the foundation.. When using a beauty blender sponge and working quickly, it looks very pretty but it's a little hard to work with like most liquid highlighters. Maybe on bare skin it would work best..?

Sunlit Skin - Bronzer

This bronzer is available in 3 different depths of shade - Light, Medium and Dark

This shade is "Medium" and is totally universal! It's such a soft, natural looking bronzer with a subtle sheen giving your skin that sunkissed bronzey glow. This is probably my fave product so far, the formula is so smooth and buttery! I use this everyday at the moment, no exaggeration, this is the prettiest bronzer for light to medium skin tones I've tried! 

Eyephoria - Eyeshadow Palette

This palette has 10 gorgeous plummy shades - 2 larger shades, one matte and one shimmer perfect for highlighting the brow bone. And 8 shimmer/ satin shades. Not one matte colour for transition. Straight off the bat I know I can take this alone when travelling because I'd need more matte shades, a bone coloured matte isn't going to work in the crease..

I'm not the biggest fan of plummy shades on myself. I feel this palette is a little repetitive with the golds & purple shades looking very similar to each other and the colours may blend and start to disappear together. The formula is very soft and consistent in every shade but I would've loved to see a little more variety in this palette. Maybe a dark matte brown or matte purple?? Definitely a transition shade like a light/medium brown. And a difference in the gold shades, maybe a bright gold and a deeper bronze? Just some thoughts, the formula is amazing they nailed that for sure! But I personally wouldn't pay $50nzd for this palette..

Pout Pop - Lipstick

I have 2 shades in the high definition formula "Hey Lover" is a vibrant, warm, hot pink and "Freedom Fighter" is a bright orange red, both incredibly smooth and pigmented. Very long-lasting, hydrating and creamy, I LOVE this high definition formula. I can't wait to try the matte formula and I don't tend to go for sheer lipsticks but I bet the Mecca Max formula is super soft and hydrating. I like these so much I went and purchased two more hi-def shades when they were available in store, "Mean Gal" & "Heaven Sent" both gorgeous nudes!

Gloss Boss - Lipgloss

Available in 10 shades, I have the shade "Pow Wow Pink" and it's a a sheer hot pink, not too sticky, just glossy and shiny on the lips. 

City Slickers - Tinted Lip Oil

Available in 3 shades - Nude, Rose and Apricot

I have the shade "Rose" which is a very pretty, sheer warm pink. This hydrating and repairing lip oil is very soft and juicy with a hint of colour. I love this for 'no-makeup' makeup days

Eye Max - Double Ended Mascara

This double ended mascara has a big, chubby wand at one end for coating every lash, lifting, curling and creating length! And a micro brush at the other end perfect for the bottom lashes or to help separate and define the top lashes before using the big wand. It definitely works, but I prefer to use the chubby wand alone for the top lashes and the small wand for my lower lashes. 

 Before and After - Here I used the smaller wand first to coat all the lashes then used the chubby wand to thicken and add volume. On the lower lashes I only used the small wand

Flawless Blender Sponge

Ok..Out of everything I've tried so far, this has to be the worst. First of all it smells really weird, I can't explain it, it's like a mouldy smell? And when you wet it, it doesn't grow as you can see in the before and after --> And it's so hard! It doesn't get all squishy and bouncy like a normal blending sponge. I tried it anyway to see if it would work and no..It doesn't blend anything. I don't recommend.

PACKAGING

The packaging is stunning, feels high-quality and looks super luxurious and well-thought out throughout the entire range. I love the gold, orange, black, white and pink together 

Pop Pout Lipsticks

These babies have the cutest packaging of the lot! They have a push-pop design, push down the lipstick and it pops back out for you to pull out, wind up and apply.  The names are 3-D bubble labels in the shades of the lipsticks on top.

 

Shimmer Shot Illuminating Wand

I also love the packaging of these highlighting wands with a brush tip and click pump that pushes the liquid glow out through the brush so you can apply straight to your face. So luxe!

 Sunlit Skin 

I love the style of the compacts. Square with the gold, black and orange reminds me a lot of Yves Saint Laurent packaging, it looks so expensive and luxurious. The powder itself has an embossed "M" for Mecca

I am SO excited for this range and can't wait to try out some more products! I highly recommend giving this new brand a go, the products are amazing for the price range! Let me know, will you be picking any thing up??

The packaging though?! When I said super secure, I meant super secure! This baby is definitely going to keep everything inside of it safe & protected, making it perfect for travel. And it's holographic! The only problem is it's quite bulky, but with the amount of product in there, you wouldn't need to carry much more makeup anyway! And as you can see below, both palettes inside clip in & out of the case itself so you can change them around, or if you have any of the other palettes with the same design eg. MC3, you can swap the inserts around & take the two you would use most.

 As always, Smashbox threw in a few instruction cards to help guide you through colour correcting & how/where to use each one

Cream Colour Correctors:

Lavender - Corrects any yellowness/dullness areas of the face
Green - Corrects any redness (acne blemishes/scarring, rosacea etc)
Peach - Corrects dark spots for fair to Medium skin tones (under eyes etc)
Orange - Correct dark spots for darker skin tones

Cream Contour & Highlighters:

Contour - Add shape & definition
Bronzer - Add sunkissed warmth
Highlight - Brighten areas of the face
Luminous Pink, Gold & Peach - Shimmery highlights create a dewy glow

The first four are the colour correctors, all very pigmented & super creamy. If you remember the colour wheel from art class at school, you'll always remember how to use these on your face. The lavender brightens up any dull, tired looking areas of the face, purple is opposite to yellow meaning purple will neutralise any yellowness on your face. The green will help to counteract any redness on your face, this shade is also very creamy but could be a little too smooth because it moves around blemishes easily when blending over it, it may be better used for redness on the cheeks/face as appose to blemishes that tend to have more redness.. The peach is great for dark under eyes on fairer skin, I like to mix it with a little bit of the orange shade if they're a deeper purple & are harder to cover, the peach is slightly too light I think.. And the orange is great for darker skin tones to correct blue/deeper purple under eyes or mix with the peach shade to get your preferred coverage. Both are super creamy & blendable. The next three are the defining shades. The contour shade is so creamy & blends smooth & evenly for a perfectly cut contour using a sponge or brush! It's a good shade, not warm but not too cool either, but could be too light for anyone with deep skin tones..The bronzer I haven't tried on it's own, I mixed a little with the contour shade & it looked great adding just enough warmth. It's quite a golden brown & would give the face a nice sunkissed glowy tan. I must try it alone this summer! The highlight is actually more of a light banana cream & works great for highlighting areas of the face like under the eyes, centre of the forehead, nose & chin. This was the only cream that was a little harder to blend, not much! Just not as smooth as all the others.. And finally, the luminous highlighting creams. These are very soft & natural looking, they give a glow from within, but pop some powder highlight on top & BAM! Glowing for gods baby!

As you can see, the eyeshadows are insanely pigmented! They're so smooth & swatched like butter on my arm. The colours are to die for & there's probably every shade you need to create endless looks for daytime to evening. Mattes & Metallics, light transition shades & deep smokey shades. There is a bit of fallout with these shadows because they're so soft. The blushes are the same, so smooth & pigmented. Compared to the Smashbox Masterclass 3 palette, there are only 5 double ups - Nectar, Nocturnal, Blackout, Sumatra & Carnation blush. I like to swap around the inserts between both palettes, say the neutral shadow palette from MC3 & the cream contour side from the Lighting Theory. Clip them both in one case & away you go!

I highly recommend getting a Masterclass palette for yourself one day, the pigmentation & variety for the price is unreal! This entire palette was only $65USD & totally worth it because it's valued at $399!

This is my first time trying an Ofra product so I picked up "Miami Fever" also, which is one of the collab shades with YouTuber Kathleen Lights, a unique burnt orange I LOVE!

So to start, let's talk about the formula of these liquid lipsticks..I'm a fan haha

Different compared to other liquid lipsticks, they don't dry to a non-tranferable matte & stay feeling tacky on the lips for a while, even a few hours but eventually dry down completely matte, yet still transfer when kiss tested on the back of my hand.. It's like a whipped formula very similar to NYX Creamy Mattes or Tarte Lip Paints, and smell sweet too like vanilla or cake!

The liquid lipsticks are $19.90usd each or $49.70usd for the set

Aries - Stunning Pinky Peach Nude, perfect for fairer skintones like myself, this is my fave of the three. It looks pretty with a golden eye look or something using Mannys MUG palette!

Charmed - The trending Mauvey Pink Brown Nude, a deeper midtone nude that suits just about anybody! This colour is super popular right now & is a great everyday neutral shade.

Hypno - A delicious deep Red with Brown undertones. This shade gives a sexy vampire vibe & it looks amazing with a strong winged liner on a night out.

I really like the formula, smell & how they apply. They last for HOURS & don't run & smear outside the lips, but be careful when eating because like I said above these do not dry non-transferable & will smudge if not careful. The applicator is a long firm doe foot & makes it easy to apply evenly. The only thing I noticed was Aries doesn't look as nice after a while like Charmed & Hypno do, it can start to look dry and crepey...throw some lip balm on top & you should be good to go!

Ok, first lets talk about the packaging. Can it get any cooler OMG?!

We all know Kylie Jenner is well known for, not only her perfectly plumped lips, but her

unique style, it's very edgy, very "ghetto chic" if you will. She loves the glamorous life but also lives for her grillz & sporty gear. So with that being said, the packaging is definitely all Kylie! The lip products come in a cardboard box, (I will put more photos below so you can see every detail) they have Kylies own Lips on them with the colour of the lip product dripping & also framing the box. The teeth have a golden metallic finish like grillz, it's so cool! The liquid lipstick tubes are made of a very very thick plastic, it feels almost like glass, super high quality, with "Kylie" & black dripping down the top if the tube, love it! The lipliners are black plastic (that you CAN sharpen) with the lip colour on the bottom, "Kylie" written across it & the colour name just above. 

I love love LOVE the packaging I can't get over it, it screams Kylie Jenner

Koko  K - This is the lightest Matte shade Kylie currently has available, named after her super hot sis, Khloe Kardashian! Described as a Pale, pinky nude. I found this colour got quite darker on my lips once dry, almost like Candy K but with a pinker undertone. I was hoping for more of a baby pink but I still find myself reaching for it often, it makes a nice everyday pink. Koko doesn't feel dry & fades off nicely but it can look crusty very quick if you layer more than one application. The lipliner is really pretty & soo creamy, sometimes I wear it on its own!

Candy K - The next shade in line, I LOVE this one! Candy K is described as a soft, warm nude. I feel this is the colour Kylie wore often & made super popular! Its very similar to Velvet Teddy by MAC but in a matte liquid lipstick. Its a really pretty, neutral, pinky brown nude that you could wear everyday, this one didn't feel dry what so ever, didn't go crusty looking if I applied two layers, faded off nicely. It's definitely my favourite Kylie shade!

Dolce K - A unique Kylie nude shade, described as a medium beige nude. I found this shade went darker on me as well, its definitely a brown nude that can look different on everyone! I also found this shade to be quite patchy which required a little layering, but this colour doesn't like to be layered! It crumbled & went quite dry looking. I recommend using the lipliner with Dolce, I line & fill my lips in to get nice opaque coverage with the lipstick on top.

22 -  This colour, 22, is the reason I decided to order some of these. I love that rusty burnt orange shade, it's to die for! So unique & so wearable (for orange) It's described as a Vibrant, burnt orange. It almost looks like a red on my lips because I'm so pale. Named after Kylies fave number - 22

This colour doesn't look dry or crumble but I found it faded faster in the corner of my lips.

Mary Jo K - Red, a True Blue based Red shade named after Mary Jo, Kylies grandmother. Red is her signature shade & Kylie wanted to recreate her own, now Mary Jo will never run out! I love good red lipstick, especially if it's going to last hours & hours! I've worn it once & I did notice it runs a little in the lines & can go smudgy. This is the only shade I have that transferred when I tested them.

True Brown K - True Brown K is none other than a True Brown. Deep chocolate brown shade, not too warm/red toned & too cool/poopy brown haha! It's like wearing chocolate on your lips, I love it! I do love a good dark brown lipstick, Dominatrix by Jeffree Star is another one. This colour is smooth, opaque chocolate perfection & doesn't need layering. I find the Kylie applicators very easy to apply with that I don't even use the liner with this colour! This one also fades out faster in the corners of my lips.

♥Product Review♥

The products as a whole, are amazing! I won't lie

They aren't the best damn liquid lipsticks on the planet, but I'm super impressed & want more!

I think Kat Von D & Jeffree Star are pretty hard to compare to considering Kylie has just started in the industry & hasn't had time to trial & test for possible errors, she is fixing & improving all the time & listens to her customers wants & needs! 

The packaging is spot on, the colour range currently is really nice, 

the price is in my opinion is very affordable, $29 for the kit = $15 liquid lipstick + $15 lipliner

The texture is smooth, not as runny as Colourpop, not as thick as Kat Von D, not moussey like Jeffree Star. It doesn't feel like you're wearing anything on your lips, I can rub them together without it crumbling off (unless layered like mentioned above)

The smell is one thing some people might not like, it's grown on me. It's a very strong vanilla scent, as soon as I opened one I thought "Alcohol?" It smells like Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur hahah but it doesn't linger on your lips all day & you can't smell it once dried to matte.

A few cons - the customer service could use some help, the opacity for Dolce & the lipline running for Mary Jo. Otherwise I LOVE these & highly recommend you try atleast one of her kits!

I'd say a nice nude like Candy K that looks great on everyone, or Mary Jo, a classic red that every woman needs, or 22 because its so unique!

I will admit, finding exact dupes for some of these colours was really hard!

Koko, Candy & Dolce were pretty hard to match with anything in my collection..

True Brown K - Jeffree Star "Dominatrix", Colourpop "Limbo", Ofra Cosmetics "Brooklyn"
